Do I need an account to use the app?

No. TabbyTrade works fully on your device without an account — just tap Continue as guest. Sign in only if you want your setup to sync across devices or to use background push alerts.

How do I sync my watchlist and settings across devices?

Sign in with the same account (Sign in with Apple, Google, or Email/Password) on each device. Your watchlist, alert rules and thresholds, any Alpha Vantage API key you've entered, and your app settings then sync automatically to your account.

Are the scores, signals, and alerts financial advice?

No. Everything in TabbyTrade is for education and information only. Scores and signals are calculated by fixed formulas from public market data; they are not personalized advice, recommendations, or predictions, and past performance does not indicate future results. What are Background Push Alerts, and how do I turn them on?

They're an optional, opt-in feature that can notify you even when the app is closed. Sign in, then go to Config → Alerts and enable Background Push Alerts. Our service periodically checks the symbols on your watchlist against your thresholds and sends a notification when your conditions are met. Turning them off, signing out, or deleting your account stops this and removes your stored push token.

I'm not receiving alerts — what should I check?

First, make sure notifications are allowed for TabbyTrade in your iPhone Settings → Notifications. For background alerts, confirm you're signed in and that Background Push Alerts are enabled in Config → Alerts. Delivery timing is best-effort and controlled by Apple and your operating system, so alerts can be delayed, throttled, or occasionally missed — please don't rely on them for time-critical decisions.

Where does the market data come from, and why is it sometimes delayed?

Quotes, charts, trending lists, and company data come from third-party providers (such as Yahoo Finance, and Alpha Vantage if you add your own free API key). That data may be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally unavailable — it's outside our control. You can add your own Alpha Vantage key in Config for additional company data.

How do I restore a purchase or manage my subscription?

Open Config → Premium and tap Restore Purchases to re-apply a previous purchase on a new device. To view, change, or cancel a subscription, go to your iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and refunds are handled by Apple.

Why does the app ask my date of birth?

TabbyTrade is intended for adults, so on first use you confirm you're 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live). This confirmation is stored only on your device — your birth date is not sent to us.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Config → Account & Profile → Delete account. This removes your account and all synced cloud data (including your stored push token) and cannot be undone. Data stored only on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the app. Signing out instead keeps your cloud copy for next time.
